Blacklists: Domain-Based | Company-Based
Domain-Based The owners of these domains and/or their clients refuse to secure recipients' permission before sending advertising email. None of these marketers/mailers has been given permission by the owners(s) of the monitored addresses to send email to those addresses. With extremely rare exceptions*, no legitimate, solicited email is received from these domains by the monitored addresses. The number of domains and companies listed here is much more extensive than in the Company-Based blacklist.
* Macworld sends a newsletter through Topica; their editors have been contacted and urged to stop doing business with companies that send UCE on behalf of their clients.
It appears that Macworld may well be leaving Topica soon.
Company-Based This is the original-format company-based blacklist, preserved temporarily as we change the way we store and present data. These listings are still valid, although the new Domain-Based blacklist is much more extensive... albeit without the color commentary. In the future, this information will be expanded and linked to the Domain-Based list.
